Canolfan Ceiriog Centre

The Ceiriog Canter

Saturday 5th October 2013

This year’s overall winner was Ian Houston, O40M, Wrexham Tri, with a impressive time of 48.17 minutes for the steep course. Andrea Rowlands, U40F, Eryri, successfully defended the female record. The course record is still held by Jon Bowie with a time of 46.44 minutes in the 2011 event.

The weather was lovely and sunny for this years event enabling the runners to enjoy spectacular views on the tops, following the challenging accent. Everyone enjoyed the day and the café served bacon baps and home made cakes to the returning runners.

We would like to thank the marshals for their help and for looking after everyone so well. A special thanks goes to the Spa in Glyn Ceiriog and Chirk for their very generous donations towards the prizes, also to The Oak Y Dderwen pub in Glyn Ceiriog. Photos will be displayed on the website canolfanceiriog.org. We would like to thank everyone for coming, we raised £315 on the day which goes towards the running costs of the community centre.

We look forward to seeing you again next year.
